Overview
SASCI is a non-profit registered section 21 company which was formed in 2003 with 109 Full Members and 71 Associate members . The society principle objective is to further CPD accredited education in interventional cardiology. The society also acts in an advisory capacity to funders, industry, members and government on subject matters relating to interventional cardiology such as:
- EuroPCR and AfricaPCR
- SA Heart Congress
- Fellows Programs (Annual, SCAI, RC Fraser, ESC)
- Visiting Professor Program
- ESC eLearning Platform
- Allied Professional Working Group (ISCAP)
In Market Activity:
- Acts in an advisory capacity to funders, industry, members and government on subject matters relating to interventional cardiology
- Guidance and support on aspects such as IVUS / FFR , Covered Stents, CT Angio
- TAVI Cases submitted to Council of Medical Schemes
- CPT Coding
